Weaving tablets

All my boxwood tablets are cut and finished by hand.
The holes are individually refinished and countersunk to allow smooth thread passage.
The tablets then sanded and treated with beeswax. The holes are typically 3mm, but larger holes are available if required, as are centre holes.

Heddles

Weaving Comb

Drop spindles

Spindle length 200mm, whorl diameter 45mm. Other sizes/woods available on request. £8 X

Whorls also available separately. Materials used include: wood, antler, horn, lead and pewter. Also occasionally slate and chalk. Most of the whorls are made to order, so specific weights can be made if needed. A variety of surface decoration is available, the more complex ones made incur an extra charge.

Nostepinne, or ball winder

Turned, shaft is approximately 7 inches (180mm) long, and tapers from 1 inch (25mm) to 1/2 inch (12mm). The grip is 3.25 inches (80mm). Turned from beech, although other woods are available. £12.50
